HIS VOWS
When we first started hanging out a few summers ago, we’d have discussions about what my “intentions” were. I never quite gave you a straight answer because I didn’t want to scare you with what I was already feeling:
I intended to spend the rest of my life with you.
The past three years have been the happiest of my life because of you and I can’t wait to continue for a lifetime. You have been the best partner, teammate, and cheerleader I could imagine. I know that together, we can tackle anything: from simply hanging things on the wall to finding a phone lost in a cab in Valencia.
Our time together has not been without hurdles: new jobs, new homes, new dogs, and deaths of family and pets. Together, we have overcome these challenges and come out stronger. We have our day-to-day challenges as well, and you give me the strength and resilience to tackle each of them. You make the hard things easy, and I know that with you in my corner, everything will turn out okay.
And in a relatively short time, we’ve built a burgeoning lifetime of memories! We’ve turned a house into a true home that instills calmness whenever we enter, added a fur bean, and traveled across the world. And with these monumental events, some of the smallest memories loom large: coffee on the deck, picking blueberries, taking Kodi to the Fells, and doing our favorite rides.
Spending time with you is effortless. Even being in a silent pile on the couch fills me with love. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
I promise to:
Love you more every day
Support you in your passions
Create a family and community uniquely ours
Make you the happiest bean possible
Always be a good wheel—riding next to you, leading you, and following you, wherever our lives take us
I love you more than I imagined was possible.
I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
